Disclosure: I worked for the Lamont campaign doing web design and production and some writing for the official blog (from 9/5/06 to 11/07/06).

Saturday Round-Up
- Firedoglake has two must-read posts up about Lieberman's absolute mendacity on the issues of gay rights and choice. I said they're "must-read." So go read 'em.
- The New Haven Independent reports on Lamont's MoveOn endorsement. I love Tom Swan's response:
Lieberman spokeswoman Marion Steinfels downplayed the vote.
"Just as we expected, Joe Lieberman didn't become the next American Idol this week either," she said. "The primary we're focused on takes place on Aug. 8."
Retorted Lamont campaign manager Tom Swan: "While Joe was getting an award from another of George Bush's best friends, thousands of Connecticut voters were voting for change and voting for Ned Lamont." Swan was referring to a group Lieberman has helped revive along with Reagan administration alums like Jeane Kirkpatrick, called the Committee on the Present Danger. - DNC Chairman Howard Dean says the DNC will not take sides in the CT senate primary. Wish the DSCC would follow suit - or at the very least agree that they will unequivocally support the Democrat in November.
- Plenty of opportunities to volunteer this long weekend, mainly visibility events at Memorial Day parades today, tomorrow, and Monday.
- Take the Did Sean Smith Really Say That quiz, all about Lieberman's hilarious campaign manager.

As an out gay man, partnered 14 years, this makes me so mad I could pie Joementum if I were anywhere near Connecticut.
The phony bastard. Who the hell does he think he is?
I will be blogging about this extensively in days to come.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Although Dean has said that he wasn't gonna take sides, hasn't Democracy for America already endorsed Lamont?
Anyways, when's Ned's street team gonna hit up the homes? He should get some labor support too and get them knocking on doors for him.
