Thursday News Round-Up
- Of all the problems facing the country today, what is the most pressing for grandstanding self-righteous Senators from both parties to address? You got it, video games. Lieberman joined Senators Clinton, Durbin, Brownback, and Man-On-Dog to sponsor legislation that would give the CDC $100 million to study the health effects of violent video games on children. The CDC? Shouldn't they be working on getting a bird flu vaccine instead of watching kids play XBox?
- Apparently, Joe was just on C-SPAN parroting Bush talking points on the Dubai Ports World issue and claiming he didn't know which way he was going to vote on it. This is the one issue the Democrats have been able to use to get any traction on national security, and Idiot Joe wants to back away from it. Republicans are running away from Bush as if he's infected (the House committee vote was something like 60-2), yet Idiot Joe wants to maintain "bi-partisanship" with his best friend Bush. It's clear as day: Joe Lieberman hurts Democrats. And he'll hurt us more if he's on the ticket in November.
- Radio note: Ned will be on Sam Seder's show on Air America tomorrow (Friday) at 5:30pm.
What else is going on?
