Bush's approval rating in a new poll.

A new Fox News poll.

Oh, the pain of being George Bush's Favorite Democrat right about now.
Ha! I knew it. When Rasmussen let their numbers go down to 39% you knew the real numbers would be bad. 33% at Foxnews?? There's a real possibility now we'll see 20's if gas prices continue their trend into summer.
"President Bush’s job approval rating slipped this week and stands at a new low of 33 percent approve, down from 36 percent two weeks ago and 39 percent in mid-March. A year ago this time, 47 percent approved and two years ago 50 percent approved"

This must surely be making Sean Hannity weep, for Bush to fall to a 33% approval in a Fox poll no less!

The trend line here is also interesting, trending consistently lower after all those content-free major Bush appearances where he never said anything new about Iraq.

And this is also after all those repubs (like John Warner, Trent Lott, Dick Lugar) said that "the president has to talk to the American people and make his case for Iraq", etc.

Well, Bush has certainly done all that by now, and this is what he gets, a 33% approval in a Fox poll!

Lamont should not shy away from sticking it to Lieberman in spades about the Bush failure in Iraq; Lieberman's rants that Lamont is a 1-issue candidate are just an attempt by Lieberman to try to intimidate Lamont into not talking about the one thing that is most responsible for taking down Bush and the entire Repub party, which by implication will take down Lieberman as well, and Lieberman knows it.
