Quote Of The Day

“I’m a non-combatant.... I am not going to be involved in other campaigns. I think it’s better if I just focus on my own race."

- Sen. Lieberman (R) in New Haven today, declaring he will not actively support the three Democratic challengers for the House of Representatives in Connecticut, as reported by Melinda Tuhus of the New Haven Independent.

Sen. Lieberman claimed two weeks ago that he was standing by his endorsements of the three Democratic candidates - Chris Murphy (CT-5), Diane Farrell (CT-4), and Joe Courtney (CT-2) - all of whom he has now abandoned.
Comments:
Well, I suppose now that Sharon Ferrucci has indicated she will not invoke C.G.S. 9-60 and 9-61, it's not safe for Boltin' Joe to indicate he's not supporting the democratic ticket. Like we didn't know that already. He's running AGAINST a democrat!

So now, holy Hoe thinks he is a"non-combatant"? He starts this uprising of his, and he claims he isn't part of the current political mess?

Party members help other party members, especially in their homestate.

Today, holy Joe made it official. He is a party of one and will campaign for only his party of one, plus whoever his Repug strategist think they can hit up for money! Joe is NO Democrat!

“It’s a little awkward for me now” to endorse the Democratic candidates in the general election, he said, “since they all endorsed my opponent,” Democratic primary winner Ned Lamont.

And since the Connecticut for Lieberman Unity™ candidate doesn't feel the need to support his "fellow" Democrats any longer because they are supporting the Democratic candidate Ned Lamont...

Lieberman laughed Friday when asked if he was endorsing the three Republican Congressional candidates instead. He subsequently said they hadn't asked for his endorsement.

So much for staying the course.

Ever wonder why Team Joe has no blogs?

It's probably because little gems like this would appear on them if they had them...

Brilliant reponse to this from Matt W. at the NH Indendent site:

Oho. That didn't stop Lamont from endorsing them - guess in Lieberman's world, endorsements shouldn't go past the primary, eh?

I hope this can finally put to rest the belief that Lieberman is a "loyal Democrat."

I agree. Lieberman has exposed himself as a fraud. You are either a democrat or not. He is not and will not be in the Senate. He needs to be defeated.

"The more people see of him the more they don't like him." Keith is right.

Senator keep talking

As a reminder, did you know that Joe Lieberman was also a non-combatant during Viet Nam?

Did Joe get as many deferments as Dick Cheney?
